Hi,
I have noticed that on one of my partitions one folder ("Mp3") had
disappeared.
I've checked the system event viewer and found out that chkdsk was run
in the background and found the following entries:
25008: Start repair on 10/07/2009 at 20:45:15:311 26084: Deleting an
index entry from index 0x5000000000005 of file 0x1000000001cd0. 27094:
An index entry of index 0x5000000000005 points to unused file
0x1000000001cd0. 27293: File record 0x1000000001cd0 maps to "\Mp3".
25009: End repair on 10/07/2009 at 20:45:15:311
25008: Start repair on 10/07/2009 at 20:36:36:177 27153: The first
attribute offset 0x28 in file 0x1000000001cd0 is incorrect. 26000:
Deleting corrupt file record segment 0x1000000001cd0. 25000: Clearing
the in use bit for file record 0x1000000001cd0. 27099: The object id
index entry in file 0x1000000000019 points to file 0x1000000001cd0 but
the file has no object id in it. 27293: File record 0x1000000001cd0 maps
to "\Mp3". 25009: End repair on 10/07/2009 at 20:36:36:214
It seems that "in use" bit for the folder had been cleared and then the
folder was removed from index of files (beauce it was marked as not in use).
The foler and its content still takes up space on the disk.
Is there some way to revert these seteps, i.e. set "in use" bit for the
folder and add it to the index table?
Thanks!
