I am trying to install IIS on XPPro with SP3. During the attempted install
process, I receive an error message which says can't copy staxmem.dll. From
the same dialog box, I can browse to the file, so apparently it exists on my
drive. When I highlight the file, I still get the same cannot copy file
message. I am then offered the option of continuing the install process
without this file, but I have chosen to abort. I have uninstalled SP3, and
get same error message. I reinstalled SP3, again same error message. I have
found the following at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/894351 and have run
the esentutl command. The information returned suggests that both methods
need to be performed to resolve the problem, and the fixes suggested apply to
when SP2 is running. Any help appreciated.
