I am running Windows XP SP2. We use the "subst q: e:\" command to have 2
drive letters for the same disk. However, I noticed with the above command
and when I delete files from the D drive, it would appear in the Recycle Bin
temporarily and then Recycle Bin would delete the "Deleted" file
automatically. As the resume, I lost the ability to get back files that I
deleted by accident.
I tried to change the Recycle Bin settings but it would keep the deleted
files in the Recycle Bin. As soon as I ran "subst q: /d" to delete the Q
drive. The recycle bin works normal again. However, I have programs installed
that are pointed to the Q drive so deleting the Q drive is not an option.
Does anyone know of a way to fix the problem.
Thanks
