Is "Backup" reliable yet?

I use WinXP Pro 2002, SP3.

I haven't used Backup since DOS 3.11. This is because of (1) corrupted
backup files, and (2) incompatibilities due to updating Backup.

I have a contract with a company that does not allow installation of extra
software on their machines.

Can anyone advise me if they have found the problems with Backup that I
mentioned (or any other problems).

NTBackup.exe is not the most user-friendly of all backup programs but it is
reliable and has been so for many years. You don't say what OS you use -
note that ntbackup no longer exists in Windows 7.
