I've got a pesky folder that will not allow me to move files to in my
home network. Actually, it will not allow me to move one certain file
there... an Access db file.

Anyway, to resolve this I tried to be certain that that file and it's
folder did not have the attribute set wrong. The folder has a grayed
check mark in the Read only attibute box of it's properties. Try as I
might, I cannot remove it. Anyone know why?

What happens when you try?

The read-only attribute for a folder is typically ignored by Windows. Every
single folder on my systems have the read-only attribute set.

Very odd. I can copy any file to that folder, overwrite any file
except this particular Access mdb file. The message I get is this:

**************************
Error copying File or Folder
Cannot copy 'my filename': Access is denied.
Make sure the disk is not full or write protected
and that the file is not currently in use.
**************************

The file is not in use. I wonder if it has got some copy protection
on it that I don't know about. I've asked this question in the MS
Access site but so far have gotten no replies.

Try copying elsewhere. If the file is in use there will be a matching LDB
file but this doesn't stop you from copying an Access MDB.
