Hey I bought and downloaded windows 7 on a student deal but got a virus later

where can i download it now? I still have the serial key for it I just have
nothing to use it with!
Please let me know where i can redownload it! I contacted the windows team
directly and they sent me here!

Sorry the questions here too I wasnt sure where to put it!

Thanks, Luke.

You need to find a friend who has a retail copy of the same flavour of
Windows 7 (Home Premium?) as you had, then make a copy of his DVD. To avoid
similar mishaps in future you must create a backup copy of your downloaded
software *immediately*. And if your Windows installation should ever become
inoperative for some reason, don't just wipe the disk. Boot the machine with
your Windows 7 Repair CD (which you must create immediately after first
loading Windows), then copy your personal files, your EMail files and your
downloaded software to an external storage medium.

Creating an image of your Windows 7 installation, using the native imaging
tool, is also highly recommended. The imaging process even warns you if you
insist on storing the image on the internal disk.

While downloading software from the Internet reduces the cost considerably,
it puts a greater burden on you to secure things.

So... after spending a lot of money on an operating system you're telling me
that I can't redownload it, even when it's simply stored available for
download from anyone? It's not difficult to send me a link over for it...
surely?

This is something you need to discuss with the supplier, presumably
DigitalRiver. I download a lot of software and I note that most major
suppliers have a policy of allowing downloads only for a limited period. Why
they do it I do not know. I would write a note to the supplier, explaining
the situation.
