Win 7 Searches seem far more mysterious than XP's. I determined that
Custom.dic was in C:\User\Tommy\AppData. But the folder structure I can see
does not show AppData; Contacts is the first folder listed alphabetically. Is
there a method or configuration choice to make searches on Win 7 as
straightforward as on XP? Also, I noticed on my user name folder, Tommy, a
"read only" flag. Where did that come from? Should I change all of those to
remove that feature? Microsoft keeps changing things to benefit the top 5% of
users but complicating things in ways that are questionable for a great many
of us. Microsoft needs a CSO, a Chief Simplicity Officer.
